Rottnest Island is one of the picturesque locations our people get to call “work.” With spring just around the corner and summer not far behind, the island is about to get even busier, and we’re excited to be growing our team of Housekeepers to help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

As a Housekeeper, you’ll play an important role in ensuring guest accommodation and amenities are cleaned, maintained and presented to a high standard, ready to welcome each new guest.

These roles offer the opportunity to work in a truly unique environment, surrounded by the natural beauty of Rottnest Island. The positions require a daily commute to and from the island, with ferry travel costs covered by the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Clean and service accommodation areas to a high standard
• Make beds, change linen, and replenish towels and guest amenities
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, living areas and outdoor BBQ areas
• Dust, vacuum, mop and maintain all surfaces and floors
• Ensure accommodation is presented neatly and consistently
• Report maintenance issues, damage or missing items
• Complete allocated cleaning tasks within required timeframes
• Work collaboratively as part of a team of four

What we’re looking for:

• Housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience desirable, but not essential
• Flexible to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors and being on your feet all day
• High standards of cleanliness & strong attention to detail
• Excellent punctuality, time management and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Physically capable of repetitive cleaning tasks, including bending, reaching and standing for extended periods
